 Applications are invited Online Only through 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION' from qualified
candidates for appointment in the under mentioned post in Kerala Government Service.
1. Department : Collegiate Education
2. Name of post : Lecturer in Geology
3. Scale of pay : UGC Scale
4. Number of vacancies : 3 (Three)
The above vacancies are now in existence. The list of selected candidates published by the
Commission in response to this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one
year provided that the said list will continue to be in force till the publication of a new list after
the expiry of the minimum period of one year or till the expiry of three years whichever is
earlier. Candidates will be advised from the said list also against the vacancies that may be
reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of the list.
Note: As per GO(P) No. 61/12/SWD dated 17.10.2012 3% vacancies are reserved for
 differently abled candidates of Locomotor disability/Cerebral palsy , Blind, Low vision
 & Hearing impairment categories .

5. Method of appointment : Direct Recruitment
6. Age Limit : 22-40.
Only candidates born between 02.01.1977 and
01.01.1995 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for
this post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Castes,
Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities.(For
other conditions regarding age relaxation see para 2 of
the General Conditions)
7. Qualifications :
1. Masters Degree in the concerned subject with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent
and good academic record .

2. Must have passed a Comprehensive Test in the concerned subject specifically
conducted for the purpose by UGC or any agency duly constituted by the state
government in this behalf. When qualifications are equal, preference shall be given
to those candidates who possess adequate knowledge in Malayalam.
Note: (i) For SC/ST Candidates Minimum 50% marks for Master's Degree
shall be sufficient.(G.O.(Ms.) No.2/07/H.Edu.dated 04-01-2007)
(ii) For 'PhD' holders who have passed Master's Degree prior to
19.09.1991, 50% marks for Masters Degree shall be sufficient.

(iii) Candidates who have obtained 'Ph.D' Degree in the concerned subject
are exempted from passing the NET examination(G.O.
(P)No.86/07/H.Edn dated 19.06.2007)
(iv) For recruitment to various posts under these rules, Degrees awarded
by the Universities recognized by UGC alone shall be considered.
(v) The conditions laid down in KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii are
applicable.
8a) Mode of submitting Applications:-
             Candidates must register as per ‘ONE TIME REGISTRATION’
with   the   official   Website   of   Kerala   Public   Service   Commission
www.keralapsc.gov.in   before   applying   for   the   post.   Candidates   who
have registered can apply by logging on to their profile using their UserID
and password. Candidates must click on the ‘Apply Now’ button of
the respective post in the Notification Link to apply for the post. The
Photograph uploaded should be taken after 31/12/2010. Name of the
candidate and the date of photograph taken should be printed legibly at
the   bottom   portion.   The   photograph   once   uploaded   meeting   all
requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of uploading.
There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of
photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates shall take a
printout of the application by clicking the link Registration Card in their
profile. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal
information and secrecy of password. Before the final submission of the
application on the profile, candidates must ensure correctness of the
information in their profile. They must quote the User­ID for further
communication   with   the   Commission.   Application   submitted   is
provisional   and   cannot   be   deleted   or   altered   after   submission.   The
application   will   be   summarily   rejected   if   noncompliance   with   the
notification is found in due course of processing. Documents to prove

called for.
Candidates who have AADHAAR card should add AADHAAR card as I.D.
Proof in their profile.

Last Date of receipt of applications:  05/07/ 2017 Wednesday up to 12.00
midnight
If a Written/OMR/Online Test is conducted as part of this selection,
Admission Ticket for eligible candidates will be made available in their
Profile for One Time Registration and the date of downloading will be
included   in   the   Examination   Calendar.   Candidates   can   download
Admission   Ticket   for   15   days   from   this   date.   Candidates   who   have
downloaded the Admission Ticket will alone be permitted to attend the
examination.
